Thursday, July 02, 2009 LOS ANGELES: Funeral plans for Michael Jackson remained clouded in uncertainty Wednesday, with a burial at the pop icon's Neverland Ranch reportedly ruled out as the singer's will emerged for the first time. The Los Angeles Times reported that the Jackson family's hopes of burying the music legend at his sprawling fantasy estate had been dashed because local officials in Santa Barbara County were unable to circumvent local regulations. Everybody in Santa Barbara feels bad about it," the source was quoted as saying by the Times. Santa Barbara County officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Earlier reports had indicated Jackson's body would be placed on public display at Neverland on Friday before a private service for his family at the Ranch on Sunday.A stampede of international media and fans rushed to the sleepy town of Los Olivos near Neverland following the reports, with hotels across the surrounding area selling out within hours.

Local media reports said a memorial service at a large-capacity venue such as the city's Staples Center or Coliseum was now being considered, with Jackson possibly buried at a city cemetery. The fresh doubts over Jackson's funeral arrangements came as the picture surrounding the star's estate appeared to clear with the emergence of a 2002 will filed at Los Angeles Superior Court.

89 killed in Peshawar blast: hospital sources

Wednesday, October 28, 2009 PESHAWAR/Pakistan: The death toll of the blast occurred in Meena Bazar Peshawar has climbed to 89, hospital sources said. More then 200 people injured in the blast.According to reports, three persons have been rescued from the rubbles of the buildings collapsed after the explosion. The injured have been shifted to Lady Reading Hospital and other hospitals where emergency has been announced. The children and women are also among the wounded. Some of the injured reported in a critical condition. The administration of Lady Reading Hospital has appealed for blood donation. Yashraj Productions is making its debut on a small screen but just like films their TV show has all the star power as well. The numero uno banner of Bollywood is coming up with a show called Rishta.com, apparently, a comedy series which will show a matrimony office through which couples meet. YRF has tapped all their loyalists including Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Preity Zinta, Uday Chopra, Tabu and Riteish Deshmukh to make an appearance on their show but opening the curtains will be biggest Khan of them all, Aamir Khan.
