Friday, August 14, 2009 MUMBAI: A 26-year-old woman died Thursday of H1N1 swine flu in the southern city of Bangalore, raising India's death toll from the virus to 20, authorities said.The death was the first reported in India's information technology capital, the Press Trust of India reported.Meanwhile in Pune, the worst-affected in India, two more victims of the virus died Thursday, raising the death toll in that western city near Mumbai to 12, the report said. Monday, June 22, 2009 JERUSALEM: Israelis, Palestinians and people from around the world gathered in Jerusalem to form a human chain for peace around the old city walls.The event called 'Jerusalem Hug' or 'Big Hug' was created as a gesture to encourage respect and peace in the world, starting in Jerusalem.Those who gathered held hands to form a human chain around the city walls and later hugged one another.One woman who calls herself "White Eagle Medicine Woman" organised drumming and singing at the event.She said it was important that everybody worked together to bring about peace in the world.
