LONDON: The release of Spider-Man 4 has been delayed after reported issues with production of the superhero blockbuster.
It now looks likely that the film will not be ready for its scheduled May 2011 release date.
Filming was due to start on the movie this Spring but problems with the script are likely to push shooting back.
Director Sam Raimi is reportedly arguing with studio Sony Pictures over which bad guy to include in the sequel.
He has cast John Malkovich as The Vulture, though there are also rumours that Anne Hathaway could appear playing villain the Black Cat.
Both Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst will return for the fourth flick.
