Friday, August 14, 2009 MUMBAI: A 26-year-old woman died Thursday of H1N1 swine flu in the southern city of Bangalore, raising India's death toll from the virus to 20, authorities said.The death was the first reported in India's information technology capital, the Press Trust of India reported.Meanwhile in Pune, the worst-affected in India, two more victims of the virus died Thursday, raising the death toll in that western city near Mumbai to 12, the report said. Monday, November 16, 2009 OCCUPIED JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday warned the Palestinian leadership against "unilateral action" after they said they plan to seek UN recognition of their independence. "There is no substitute for negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority," Netanyahu said in a radio address. "Any unilateral action will undo the framework of past accords and lead to unilateral actions from Israel." He called on the Palestinian Authority to restart negotiations "without preconditions." The Palestinians said on Sunday they plan to ask for UN recognition of their independence, amid mounting frustration over the stalled peace process, including at Israel's refusal to end settlement building in the occupied West Bank.
