Sunday, September 06, 2009 NEW DELHI: Dogs of diverse breeds walked down the ramp in style with their masters during a dog show here on Saturday evening.The gala event was held to launch a collection of pet care products and accessories introduced by 'Petsetgo'.Pet lovers were happy to attend the event and swarmed by its quotient."I think this show is one of a kind, first of its kind. It has really been a great experience and I really liked the cliché, the food and the grooming. It was all fantastic and I am having lot of fun," said Natasha Mallik, one of the participants.Indian American Sukhwini, said that such shows bring dog lovers together."I think its a great idea and there are lot of people out there who would like to spend more time doing these kind of events and bringing people who love dogs together. Its really important to do that," Sukhwini said.
BEIRUT: Thousands of people converged Saturday on central Beirut to mark the fourth anniversary of the assassination of Lebanese former premier Rafiq Hariri.Waving Lebanese flags and carrying pictures of the slain leader, men, women and children gathered under sunny skies in Martyr's Square where members of the parliamentary majority were to address the crowd. The rally comes as final preparations are underway in The Hague for the launch of the international tribunal set up to bring Hariri's killers to justice. It also comes as the country prepares for legislative elections in June that will pit Western-backed political parties against a Hezbollah-led alliance backed by Syria and Iran.Hariri died in a massive car bombing on February 14, 2005 that also killed 22 others. The assassination was widely blamed on then Lebanese power-broker Syria, which has denied any involvement.
