Thursday, July 30, 2009,BERLIN: A German man set a new record for skating down a roller coaster at speeds up to 56 mph.
Dirk Auer built his own custom skates with 16 wheels on each side and rode the entire Mammoth coaster at the Trip Drill theme park in Stuttgart, Germany. The stunt took two months to plan and 110 hours of work.
Auer's record-setting ride included a 98-foot drop and speeds of 56 miles per hour.
Auer also holds the world record for being dragged behind a Porsche GT2 at speeds of 190 mph.
