Sunday, June 28, 2009 LOS ANGELES: Michael Jackson’s family is seeking a second and independent autopsy on the singer’s body, according to US media reports. The family is believed to have a series of questions about Jackson’s death, which remained unanswered by the initial autopsy on Friday. The Rev Jesse Jackson, a close friend of the family, told Good Morning America Jackson’s relatives “ought” to press for the autopsy. He said, "When did the doctor come? What did he do? Did he inject him? If so, with what? Was he on the scene twice? Did he use the Demerol? It's a very powerful drug. Was he injected once? Was he injected twice?"The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office said yesterday that there was no evidence of foul play or external trauma in Jackson’s death. But after a three-hour examination of the star’s body doctors deferred cause of death while they await the results of further tests. The toxicology test results could take up to six weeks. Meanwhile, Jackson’s body has been handed over to his family.Since his death on Thursday, focus has shifted to the star’s alleged dependency on painkilling drugs.Police in Los Angeles have spoken to Jackson’s doctor, who was present when the singer suffered a suspected cardiac arrest. But tonight it has emerged that police are reportedly looking to speak to another of Jackson’s physicians, Dr. Tohme Tohme.
